Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance Account Officer at Shelter Mart Properties Ghana Ltd in Accra. The Finance Account Officer will be responsible for financial statements, finance, financial reporting, Goods and Services Tax (GST), and accounting.
Responsibilities
Manage all accounting transactions
Prepare budget forecasts
Publish financial statements in time
Submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Ensure timely bank payments
Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
Audit financial transactions and documents
Comply with financial policies and regulations
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Account Officer or similar role
Financial Statements and Financial Reporting skills
Finance and Accounting skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work well in a team
Experience in real estate finance is a plus
Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
Experience using financial and accounting software
Advanced MS Excel skills
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
Professional certification is a plus
