THE COMPANY

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for Africa’s leading luxury beauty brand distributor. The company distributes beauty brands across Sub-Saharan Africa. The business is rapidly expanding and has recently added a new luxury beauty brand to its portfolio and is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable, brand manager to manage the brand.

Accra, Ghana


THE ROLE 

As the Brand Manager, you will be responsible, along with your team, for adapting and executing marketing strategies on the markets to build the brand equity, drive sales, and create memorable experiences for our clients. You will lead the brand development and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the right implementation of the brand strategy in all expertise’s and ensure success of our brand in the highly competitive luxury market. 

 

MAIN MISSIONS

1. Adapt and Implement Marketing Strategies

· Adapt and execute integrated marketing plans shared by the Brand to promote product launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand initiatives

· Negotiate and implement trade plan with local retailers

· Lead the local production of marketing campaigns elements according to brand guidelines and budget restrictions.

· Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and drive ROI

· Define marketing objectives and KPIs in alignment with the brand's vision and business goals.

· Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends and opportunities.

 

2. Brand equity and communication

· Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity into the brick-and-mortar distribution and across all marketing channels

· Build and implement the media plan 

· Oversee the brand's presence across digital and traditional media platforms.

· Follow and report local opportunities or new supports to communicate.

· Identify and propose opportunities for Public Relation, local influencer according to the objectives and guidelines shared by the brand

 

3. Event Management and Product Launches

· Plan and execute luxurious events and product launches that generate buzz and elevate the brand's image.

· Coordinate with PR and events teams to secure media coverage and celebrity/influencer partnerships.

· Develop immersive event experiences that align with the brand's values and aesthetics.

· Analyze the impact of events on brand visibility and customer engagement.

 

4. Budget Management and Forecasting

· Forecast product novelties and merchandising elements in line with marketing strategies and recommendations shared by brand and consistent with point of sales.

· Manage, follow, and respect budgets for marketing campaigns, events, and other promotional activities validated.

· Communicate Wholesale and Sell-Out performances monthly, perform analysis and action plans.

· Conduct ROI analysis and adjust spending to optimize marketing effectiveness.

 

5. Legal and compliance 

· Control of the image of the Brand in the area, share the relevant information’s (counterfeits, parallel market, judicial liquidation, etc.)

· Establishment of authorized retailer contracts and general sales conditions with retailers, control of the quality criteria of the points of sale in accordance with the brand guidelines

 

QUALITIES AND LEADERSHIP ATTRIBUTES:

The ideal candidate for this role should possess a unique blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. As a Brand Manager, you should demonstrate the following qualities:

Strategic Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make data-driven decisions and capitalize on market trends.

Creativity: A keen eye for aesthetics, innovative ideas, and the ability to think outside the box to find new ways to stand out in the respect of the brand DNA and luxury standards.

Communication Mastery: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey the brand's story and message to the target audience. In addition to English, fluency in French is strongly preferred.

Collaborative Approach: A team player who fosters a positive work environment, encourages collaboration, and values input from team members.

Passion for Luxury: A genuine passion and understanding of the luxury industry, along with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, quality, and exclusivity.

Resilience: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handling challenges with grace and determination.

Global Perspective: Awareness of international markets and cultural nuances to tailor marketing strategies for a diverse global clientele.

Brand Stewardship: A strong sense of responsibility and dedication to safeguarding the brand's reputation and upholding its values.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role is a pre-requisite.

Languages: Candidate needs to be fluent in English and French.
