Job Summary

The EV Charging Station Attendant is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and customer service at an electric vehicle charging facility. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth, safe, and efficient charging experience for all electric vehicle drivers.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet customers, provide clear instructions on using the charging equipment (connectors, payment, initiation process), and resolve basic inquiries or issues professionally.

• Charging Operations: Monitor the charging process of vehicles, manage the queue or flow of vehicles, and ensure proper connection and adherence to charging guidelines and policies.

• Cash and Payment Handling: Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, collect fees, process various forms of payment, and manage daily cash transactions and reporting.

• Maintenance & Cleanliness: Conduct routine inspections of the charging units and surrounding area, perform basic cleaning, and ensure the station is safe, presentable, and well-maintained.

• Troubleshooting & Reporting: Identify and attempt to resolve minor technical issues (e.g., failed connection, payment errors). Immediately report complex technical faults, equipment damage, or safety hazards to the supervisor or technical support team.

• Safety & Compliance: Enforce all station safety rules and regulations, especially those related to high voltage electrical equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in customer service, retail, or cash handling is preferred.

• Basic computer proficiency and ability to operate point-of-sale or charging management software.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.\

• Proactive, resourceful, and capable of working independently in an outdoor environment (sometimes in varying weather conditions).
