Job Description

A reputable FMCG company specializing in tomato mix production is seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Manager (Ghana Branch) to oversee sales operations and support business growth in Ghana. The role involves managing day-to-day sales activities, building strong customer relationships, and supervising a small sales team. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, target-driven, and able to balance office responsibilities with active fieldwork.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities across Ghana to increase product reach and market share.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and retail partners.

  • Support the development and execution of sales strategies tailored to the Ghanaian market.

  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

  • Monitor competitor activities and provide feedback to management for strategy adjustments.

  • Supervise and guide sales representatives, ensuring effective coverage of key markets.

  • Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and local networking events.

  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.

  • Conduct regular field visits to track sales activities and gather insights on consumer behavior.

  • Prepare and submit periodic sales performance reports.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 2–3 years of proven experience in sales (FMCG or food industry preferred).

  • Strong understanding of the Ghanaian market and consumer buying patterns.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and guide a small sales team.

  • Target-oriented, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure.

  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with CRM tools is an advantage.

  • Ability to speak and understand French is a plus.
