Our nonprofit organization is launching a 12-month Book Writing & Publishing Project — a guided, hands-on journey designed to help aspiring writers (students and emerging authors) craft, complete, and publish their first book. To make this possible, we’re inviting passionate Book Writing Coaches to join our volunteer team.

Overview:

As a Book Writing Coach, you will mentor and guide students through the entire process of developing their own books — from idea generation and structure building to drafting, revising, and final publication. You will also serve as a Book Reviewer, providing constructive feedback and helping participants polish their manuscripts for print and digital release.

Commitment: 12 Months (Structured in 3-Month Phases)

Each phase focuses on a different stage of the writing and publishing journey.

Phase 1 (Months 1–3): Story Discovery & Planning

 • Help participants identify their story ideas or themes.

 • Teach basic story structure, tone, and purpose.

 • Guide them through outlining and character or concept development.

 • Assign reflective writing exercises and short drafts.

Phase 2 (Months 4–6): Writing & Coaching

 • Lead small writing groups or one-on-one coaching sessions.

 • Review participants’ drafts and provide actionable feedback.

 • Host monthly “Writing Clinics” to address challenges and spark creativity.

 • Encourage consistency through writing schedules and peer feedback sessions.

Phase 3 (Months 7–9): Revision & Review

 • Help participants revise and refine their manuscripts.

 • Conduct detailed reviews of structure, language, and flow.

 • Facilitate peer-review circles to improve collaboration and confidence.

 • Introduce the basics of book formatting and editing standards.

Phase 4 (Months 10–12): Publishing & Presentation

 • Support participants in preparing their manuscripts for submission or publication.

 • Review final drafts and write short recommendations or blurbs.

 • Help organize a Book Launch Showcase where participants present their completed works.

 • Celebrate each participant’s growth and milestone — a completed book!

Outcome:

By the end of this 12-month program, each participant will have completed and published their own book, guided by the support and mentorship of dedicated volunteer coaches like you.
