Role Description
Are you a customer-focused, problem-solving whizz with a knack for building great relationships? We're looking for a Junior Account Manager to join our stellar operations team. In this role, you'll be the main point of contact for our clients, helping them plan and book their dream travel experiences. You'll work across a portfolio of accounts, ensuring every client's journey is smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. You will work closely with the Operations & Account Management team to deliver on all KPIs in this fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
Manage and nurture a small portfolio of client accounts, building strong, long-lasting relationships that convert into repeat customers
Researching into and crafting itinerary & experience proposals based on client requirements and internal product planning - including flights, accommodations & activities
Assisting with the logistical planning of confirmed trips & experiences as assigned
Managing communications with vendors and on-the-ground service providers across our various destinations, and ensuring that our vendor & product catalogues are updated at all times
Researching into new travel destinations, awesome experiences, and vetting suitable partners for our clients and product catalogues
Support our marketing department by providing necessary information for asset development – example: itineraries, destination information, and experience descriptions
Providing ongoing and timely support to client accounts as assigned, before, during & post-travel
Maintaining accurate and organized client records
Promoting and being an all-round ambassador of the brand
Reporting Line: You will be supervised by an assigned Senior Account Manager and managed by the Operations Lead
What are we looking for?
Essential Skills
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant or related field
Adaptability and the ability to switch focus easily and think on your feet
Excellent written & verbal communication
An enthusiastic and dedicated individual ready to learn on the job, and to commit hard work to a growing start up
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Attention to detail and excellent planning, administration & research skills
A good understanding of travel experiences & the tourism landscape (African countries desirable)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software [specifically MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook] or Google Docs Editors suite [specifically Docs, Sheets & Forms]
Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders at different levels
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing and multitasking effectively
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
A customer-focused mindset with a strong affinity for problem-solving
A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, with and in a team environment
A willingness to contribute productively to the team and personal development
Great work ethic with a positive, proactive & can-do attitude
Additional Skills
Previous experience in an administrative or project management environment will be a plus.
Previous experience in travel management or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory
Knowledge of Canva is desirable
Compensation Package
Monthly Salary: including all statutory payments
15 days paid holiday in the first year post-probation, with an increase to 20 days in subsequent years

Travel and Hours
This role may necessitate travel within the country and on occasion, within the continent. Given that we work across different time zones, some non-traditional hours for early or later client calls are an expectation of this role. Weekend work may also be required due to the nature of the business and role.
