As one of the leading global companies operating in the manufacturing sector, we are looking for a meticulous and experienced Lawyer to join our team in Ghana.
Job Purpose
The Legal Specialist will be responsible for providing legal counsel and support on a variety of corporate and commercial matters, ensuring that the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations. The Internal Lawyer will also draft, review, and negotiate contracts, manage litigation, credit collection and support the management team on all legal matters affecting the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from an accredited law school.
A Master’s degree in Law (LLM) or professional certifications in corporate or business law will be an advantage.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in all areas of law particularly in a contract, credit collection and corporate.
Proven track record in drafting and negotiating contracts, managing litigation, and advising on legal and regulatory matters.
Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law, contract law, and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with legal databases and software.
Licensed to practice law in Ghana.
Membership in the local or national bar association is preferred.

Reside or able to reside in Accra or Tema, Ghana
Job Description
Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, commercial contracts, employment law, credit collection and compliance with local and international laws.
Ensure the company operates within the legal framework of corporate law and regulations.
Advise management on legal risks and opportunities related to business operations.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, service contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and employment contracts.
Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws and minimize legal risks for the company.
Manage and oversee company litigation, including coordinating with external legal counsel.
Represent the company in legal proceedings, regulatory matters, and negotiations.
Resolve disputes through negotiation, arbitration, or mediation where appropriate.
Provide legal support for corporate governance activities, including board meetings, shareholder meetings, and company policies.
Draft and maintain legal documents, including resolutions, minutes of meetings, and company by-laws.
Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Ensure the company has adequate insurance coverage for all legal liabilities.
Monitor changes in legislation and regulations that may impact the company.
Ensure the company complies with all industry-specific regulations, including health, safety, and environmental laws.
Provide training to employees on legal and regulatory matters, including compliance and risk management.
Support HR and other departments with legal issues, including employee disputes and contract interpretation.
