Key Responsibilities & Performance Indicators

1. Training Program Development & Delivery

Design and deliver equipment training (theory and hands-on) for operators and maintenance staff aligned with OEM specs and safety standards.

KPls:

  • Number of training sessions delivered

  • % of personnel successfully certified

  • Curriculum compliance with OEM/SOP requirements

  • Post-training competency assessment scores


2. Pre-Employment Testing

Conduct theoretical and practical assessments for operator candidates before employment to ensure baseline competency and suitability.

KPls:

  • Candidate pass rate on pre-employment tests

  • Time to complete testing and feedback

  • Reduction in early operator en-ors

  • Successful onboarding rate


3. Operation, Safety Training & Certification

Provide instruction on safe equipment operation, hazard awareness, and emergency procedures, coupled with assessments to certify operator competency and recommend retraining if necessary.

KPls:

  • Safety incident reduction post-training

  • Operator error frequency

  • Compliance with site safety standards

  • Certification pass rate (%)

  • Skill gap closure rate

  • Re-certification frequency

  • Assessment turnaround time


4. Continuous Improvement, Coaching & Mentoring

Regularly update training materials to incorporate new technologies and best practices, while providing field coaching and on-the-job mentoring to reinforce skills and improve operator behavior.

KPls:

  • Curriculum update frequency

  • Trainee feedback scores

  • Coaching hours per month

  • Behavior improvement metrics

  • Supervisor feedback

  • Incident reduction in coached teams


5. Compliance & Documentation

Ensure all training complies with regulations, OEM, and internal policies; maintain accurate training and certification records.

KPls:

  • Compliance audit pass rate

  • Training record accuracy(%)

  • Overdue certification count

  • Regulatory training completion rate


6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to identify training needs, close skill gaps, and support production objectives.

KPls:

  • Training impact on productivity(%)

  • Joint initiatives completed

  • Downtime reduction due to operator errors

  • Stakeholder satisfaction
