A Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed healthcare professional who practices medicine under the supervision of physicians and surgeons. PAs are vital members of healthcare teams, providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care across various medical specialties.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment and Diagnosis
Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, blood tests, and other lab work.
Formulate differential diagnoses and develop treatment plans.
Treatment and Patient Management
Prescribe medications and therapies within the scope of practice.
Perform medical procedures such as suturing, casting, and wound care.
Assist in surgeries as needed.
Education and Counseling
Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
Provide counseling on lifestyle changes to promote health and wellness.
Collaboration and Coordination
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
Administrative Duties
Document patient care in medical records accurately and promptly.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Skills:
Strong clinical knowledge across a variety of medical specialties.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Location: Accra
Salary Range: Ghc 4,000.00 - Ghc 6,000.00
