Senior Typescript Developer

Job Summary

A full-stack TypeScript developer designs, develops, and maintains web applications using NextJS, and NestJS/Node.js. Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality software, bringing expertise in databases, and web architecture, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust, scalable web applications using TypeScript, React, and Node.js

  • Collaborate with junior developer and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define features, and translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and industry standards

  • Implement responsive, accessible, and user-friendly front-end interfaces using React/NextJS

  • Build secure and performant back-end services and APIs leveraging Node.js and its ecosystem

  • Continuously improve development workflows, tooling, and technology stack

  • Document development processes and procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer

Job Specification: 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field.


Experience:

  • Four (4) years relevant working experience.


Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient in TypeScript for both front-end and back-end development

  • Experience with web application architecture patterns, like microservices and serverlessIT systems and software development lifecycles

  • Strong understanding of Node.js and its ecosystem, including Express or NestJS

  • Problem-solving and decision-making

  • Documentation and technical writing

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional team

  • Understanding of TypeORM, an Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) library for TypeScript, and its use for database abstraction and management
