TypeType as a platform feels welcoming even if you are not deeply into typography. Everything is presented in a way that makes sense visually. As a normal internet user I do not want to read long explanations just to choose and buy fonts. Here I can focus on how the text feels. This intuitive experience makes the whole process more enjoyable and encourages experimentation without stress.
